When I moved to Zurich, I quickly realized: I was used to drinking coffee. But I didn't know any of the roasteries in my new hometown. I started exploring them. First in Zurich, then in the next canton, then in the one after that.
Bern. Basel. Geneva. Lausanne. Ticino. What started as curiosity became a passion. I started visiting a different Swiss roastery every weekend, talking to roast masters, buying beans, tasting and marveling at how big and how good the Swiss coffee scene really is.
My passion also took me beyond Swiss borders. I was on coffee plantations in Panama, experienced the harvest there, spoke with farmers and understood what separates good raw material from poor. I bring this knowledge with me today in every curation decision.
